ESC advisors are skilled professionals, several are retired or semi-retired executives, who volunteer their time as a way to positively impact the local community. All have a lifetime of valuable experience and are trained to understand the unique requirements of the nonprofit sector.

Diana Bing
Diana Bing retired from IBM as the corporate director of enterprise learning where her programs and initiatives won numerous awards. Her career with IBM encompassed extensive worldwide managerial and executive experience in sales, marketing, coaching and service delivery. She has also co-authored two well-received books on growing a career.

Al Decker
Al Decker is a consultant in enterprise risk management, business continuity, information security and privacy in internal controls. He has more than 30 years of experience in private industry and public accounting. Al is the co-author of a top-selling book on the practical implications of the enterprise risk management process.
Expertise: Guided Organizational Assessment, Board Development
Michael Friedman
Michael Friedman was the executive director at Vacamas Programs for Youth in New York City. He worked for over 30 years with programs for at-risk youth. Michael has served on several nonprofit boards including the American Camping Association and the New York State Camp Directors Association.

Dave Gettles
Dave Gettles held a variety of executive positions, including regional vice president, during his 25+ years in the insurance industry. He took an active role in talent development of individuals and teams throughout his career. Upon retirement, Dave served as an instructor for the NCSU Business Coaching Certificate Program. In addition to teaching, he worked with individuals and organizations for successful employee onboarding experiences.

Ed Haugh
Ed Haugh is a senior advisor who held a variety of upper-level management positions over 25 years with the Asian Development Bank in South Asia. He managed the social sector division, designing and implementing projects in the education, health and water supply sectors.

Thad Juszczak
Thad Juszczak provides outstanding technical, managerial and executive leadership in organizational budgeting, performance and financial management. Thad spent over 30 years working for the U.S. government, including with the DoD, EPA and IRS. After leaving government service, he served as a director for Grant Thornton and is now a self-employed consultant in budget and performance.

Marilyn Longman
Marilyn Longman held several senior business and marketing management positions for Kraft Foods and General Foods. As a business director, she had profit and loss responsibility for many large businesses and also specialized in new business development and planning.

Linda Luftig
Linda Luftig served as executive vice president for public affairs at HSBC Holdings for North America where she had responsibility for public relations, employee communications, investor relations, philanthropy and events. She also served as director of commercial and trust marketing for CoreStates Financial.
